Patterns are a big part of life; we can find them anywhere. They are in many different places, we can see them in art, in nature and many others; you can also find them in math. In math we learned about three patterns Arithmetic, Geometric, and Finite. I have never really relized this till

- Arithmetic is the addition/subtraction of a numbers; giving us a common difference.
2, 4, 6, 8, 10…. (Adding by 2)

3, 6, 9, 12, 15….. (Adding by 3)

- Geometric is multiplication/division of a numbers that give us a consistence multiple.
1, 3, 9… (Multiply by 3)

3, 6, 12, 24, 48… (Multiply by 2)

- Finite is numbers that do not seem to have a pattern but when finding out the differences it shows a pattern.

With the number 3, 6, 13, 24, 39; we do not see an immediate pattern we need to further assess the numbers. In the second row of number 3, 7, 11, 15; we still do not see a pattern; in the third set of number we can see that the numbers are increased by 4. |

Number patterns are every where and might not always be able to solve at first. Finite, Geometric and Arithmetic can be used to solve number patters. we can use also use these types of patterns to solve problems.
